Nazara Q2 FY27 revenue jumps 53% to ₹803 crore on new acquisitions
Nazara Technologies posted ₹803 crore revenue and ₹120 crore EBITDA in Q2 FY27, with Bluetile and BestPlay driving a big jump in gaming income.
Nazara Technologies has reported a record second quarter for FY27, with revenue up 53% year on year to ₹803 crore and EBITDA up 93% to ₹120 crore, according to Investywise. The EBITDA margin widened to 14.9%, a gain of 311 basis points. It matters because Nazara is one of India's best-known listed gaming companies, and these numbers show how fast acquisitions are reshaping it.
What the headline numbers say
For the first half of FY27, Nazara's revenue grew 20% to ₹1,232 crore, while EBITDA rose 52% to ₹166 crore, per the same report. The quarter was much stronger than the half-year as a whole, which suggests the recent deals landed with force in Q2.
The gaming segment did most of the work. Its revenue climbed 122% to ₹656 crore at a 21.5% EBITDA margin, and it made up 82% of consolidated revenue.
Bluetile and BestPlay change the picture
Mobile gaming revenue jumped 167% to ₹550 crore, helped by the inclusion of Bluetile and BestPlay. Investywise reports that the two acquisitions are being integrated from August 1, 2026, and contributed ₹329 crore in their first two months, with 49% growth.
The organic picture is more modest. Existing gaming studios grew revenue 11% and EBITDA 17%. Healthy, but it shows that most of the headline surge came from the new additions rather than the older portfolio.
Other business units
- PC and consoles (Curve): revenue up 27%, EBITDA up 61%.
- Offline gaming: EBITDA up 29% on flat revenue.
- AdTech (Datawrkz and Space & Time): Q2 revenue of ₹124 crore and EBITDA of ₹0.8 crore.
- Absolute Sports: revenue of ₹23 crore and adjusted EBITDA of ₹1.7 crore.
- Pro Football Network: revenue up 20% year on year.
Leadership and strategy
The report says new CEO Raymond Stauffer has laid out priorities for the coming year: streamlining operations, building Centers of Excellence, and bringing AI into the studios. The Centers of Excellence are meant to strengthen marketing, data, product and technology functions.
The leadership bench has also grown, with Mithun Sacheti joining as Executive Director and Arun Agarwal as CFO. Management also said it is reviewing M&A opportunities, though the source names no specific targets.
What to watch next
The key question is how well Bluetile and BestPlay keep growing once the integration settles, and whether organic growth in the older studios can pick up from 11%. Any new acquisition announcement would also be worth tracking, as would the first visible results from the Centers of Excellence and the AI push. Together they will show whether Nazara's platform ambitions hold up beyond one strong quarter.
