GTA 6 Physical Map and Poster: How to Get Them Free or for 99 Cents

Rockstar will offer a free printable GTA 6 poster and Leonida map on November 19, plus a 99-cent physical poster, according to GameSpot's report.

Rockstar Games has confirmed that GTA 6 will launch on November 19 with a free printable cover art poster and a map of its setting, Leonida, according to GameSpot. The game itself is digital-only, so these extras are the closest fans will get to the old fold-out posters that once came in the box. For players who grew up pinning GTA maps to the wall, it is a small but welcome nod.

What Rockstar is offering

Per GameSpot, the poster and the Leonida map will both be free digital downloads on GTA 6's official website from November 19. You can print them at home or at a local print shop.

A double-sized physical version of the poster is planned for "shortly after launch" on the Rockstar Store. It will cost 99 cents on its own, and it is free with any purchase from the store. GameSpot's report does not say whether the physical poster will ship to India or how it would be priced in rupees, so check the Rockstar Store once it goes live.

Why there is no map in the box

Older GTA games often shipped with a fold-out poster showing the cover art on one side and the map on the other. That tradition does not carry over to GTA 6, which GameSpot describes as a digital-only game.

Retail stores will sell a physical GTA 6 box, but it will not contain a disc. Inside is only a code for a digital download. Rockstar has not said whether anything extra will be packed in with it.

Retailers are chasing pre-orders

Some retailers are apparently trying to win buyers with their own bonuses. GameSpot notes it was recently reported that Walmart orders of GTA 6 will include some kind of "surprise." The details are not known, and it is unconfirmed what the surprise will be.

The outlet points to a precedent: when the Switch 2 launched, some Walmart orders for the console came with "game-ready" snacks such as soda and chips. Whether the GTA 6 surprise is anything similar is not stated.

The quick rundown

  • Release date: November 19.
  • Free digital poster and Leonida map on the official GTA 6 website from launch day.
  • Double-sized physical poster on the Rockstar Store "shortly after launch" for 99 cents, or free with any store purchase.
  • Physical retail copies contain a download code, not a disc.
  • Walmart's reported "surprise" for GTA 6 orders is unconfirmed.

What to watch next

Keep an eye on the official GTA 6 website on November 19 for the map and poster downloads, and on the Rockstar Store for the physical poster's exact launch date. GameSpot also reports that Rockstar has announced when preloading begins and when the game unlocks, with players in the US among the last in the world to get in. Indian players should check Rockstar's official channels for regional timings and store availability before launch day.
